For my “Design Web” course, I had to build my portfolio using WordPress, starting from scratch. The project began with thorough research to gather creative and layout/content inspiration. Regarding the design, I aimed for a perfect blend of simplicity and playfulness. After experimenting, I gravitated toward using “blob” shapes as a backdrop and initially considered pastel colors but eventually settled on a more fitting brown/mocha palette.
The project’s requirements included accessibility, responsivity and cross-browser compatibility. It emphasized user experience, concept, strategy, and personal branding. The portfolio featured project archives, detailed project views, contact forms, and personal introductions, meeting the basic criteria while allowing for additional enhancements.
